This position is responsible for improving communication and interactions of key technology partners and ASIC suppliers utilized in DAS. Efficiency of interactions between this supplier are required given expanded number of applications and number of generations that have occurred and will occur in the future.
This position will Chair the Change Control Board between the two companies overseeing: status of prior software releases, planning associated with the next release, overview discussions on new features, and implementation and compliance adherence to the change management process. Change management includes all changes that affect the Suppliers algorithm or communication interface to microprocessor regardless of the source of requested change (OEM, Supplier). Change management that results in changes in ER&D must also be elevated, tracked, and worked back for customer recovery as applicable per change.
This position will work with the respective Engineering Managers to establish Supplier deliverables associated with the ER&D, while summarizing the overall ER&D tracking for current and future engineering management planning and finance tracking. This includes meeting and negotiating with the supplier on the various programs ensuring coverage while identifying areas for reduction if the ASIC team structure is not in line with level of support being provided. Additionally, it is a responsibility of this position to elevate to the customer teams when commitments to customers are nearing an end so additional customer recovery can be identified and worked through the customer teams as applicable.
Travel to the customer is expected on an infrequent periodic basis per year - to build a close working relationship/partnership for open communications. Further, to improve flow-down of requirements for clear understanding and defined verification processes between the two companies, and to continue to build upon the working relationship between the two companies and the people interacting on a daily basis.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
