JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for the identification of and tracking of Value Capture projects within the Global Electronics Organization. The position will be assigned to a specific portfolio and will report to the Global Electronics Value Capture Manager.
Job Duties:
Identify key areas of value capture (cost reduction) opportunity with Portfolio Management, Product Line Purchasing, Commodity Purchasing, and Engineering.
Collaborate with Cost Engineering to understand the magnitude of the opportunity on a component by component basis.
Establish and manage a work plan with cross-functional team to realize savings through design effort, resourcing, and the development of supplier negotiation strategies.
Drive relevant projects and project status communications among Stakeholders
Requirements:
Shall have knowledge of Purchasing process, either through direct work experience in Purchasing or cross-functional work experience from Engineering, Program Management or other related area.
Proficiency in financial concepts as it relates to product costs and manufacturing cost structures.
Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-sovling using conceptual thinking.
Must exhibit high levels of self-control, self-confidence and flexibility.
Must be highly organized and able to effectively manage projects, including in environment of shifting priorities.
Must have strong leadership competencies, including strong and clear communication and the ability to effectively lead a team of cross functional professionals.
Must demonstrate ability to effectively work in a global environment.
1.BSEE MBA preferred
2.Background in engineering or cost engineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
