As an important piece to the efficient functioning of the healthcare industry, the Medical Coder/Biller will use alphanumeric diagnostic and procedure codes to convey critical information about illnesses and treatment. Specifically, you'll translate medical terminology into standardized codes so that patient diagnoses are accurately communicated and provider services are paid. ROLES AND
Responsibilities:
Carry out a variety of medical record functions such as analysis, coding, ensuring compliance and compiling data
Understand and apply the official coding clinic guidelines
Apply medical terminology and usage, including general medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, hospital terms and abbreviations and abstracting techniques

REQUIRED
Qualifications:
2
years medical coding and billing experience in insurance
Coding certification (RHIT)
