Amerisure is currently recruiting in our Farmington Hills office for an Underwriting Communication & Training Specialist.

position
Summary:
Create and maintain underwriting communications, including underwriting rules, guidelines, and informational articles and maintain on Company intranet. Manage underwriting training programs including needs assessment, curriculum development, course content development and program assessments. Lead and/or contribute to various underwriting projects.

Regular activities include:
Create, collaborate, and maintain internal support communications for underwriting including, underwriting rules, guidelines, and informational articles.
Perform ongoing maintenance and publishing of Corporate Underwriting's web pages using SharePoint.
Manage underwriting training programs, with a primary emphasis on the Developmental Marketing Underwriting training program and Field Marketing Underwriting training conference and maintain contact with trainees to monitor their progress in the program.
Conduct needs assessment to identify learning objectives, working with subject matter experts and instructional designers on curriculum development, course content developments and program assessments.
Lead and/or contribute to various underwriting projects, including creating communication and training plans for policy administration system, support development of fully integrated underwriting workstation and providing research and recommendation for compliance solutions for adherence with company rate, rules, and forms.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and/or work-related experience.
Minimum five years underwriting experience in middle market property and casualty lines of business.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrates successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
Demonstrates successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates the ability to successfully manage projects from conceptual phase through implementation and piloting.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
