Take the lead to develop critical material suppliers, motivate potential suppliers and build up supplier communication channel; develop and implement action plans; continuously enhance business interaction with suppliers for healthy relationship; lead or participate in major procurement issues which might be related to delivery, cost and quality, and report progress to senior management.
Take the lead to implement the ten tasks purchasing process for direct material in NA area by working with cross-functional teams to achieve the well implementation for every product project.
Enhance management of cost in North America, proactively driving cost reduction.
Monitor market price trend of critical raw materials on regular basis, and realize cost savings accordingly in time.
Establish efficient open bidding process in NA, ensure critical procurement projects occur with competitive cost, high quality and timely delivery.
Be responsible for supplier delivery management along with implementation of Blanket PO and Material Release for direct material purchase in SOP.
Based on customer volume forecast and production master schedule, release order on time and monitor supplier delivery closely, resolving roadblocks in time to secure on time delivery.
Support supplier quality management in North America, work with Quality and Engineering teams together to fix supplier quality problem.
Be responsible for quality claims against supplier quality problems.
Join in & lead important purchasing activities, figure out outstanding differences and mitigate commercial risks with suppliers by commercial negotiation.
Establish supplier agreement management process and related agreement templates to meet various business needs, securing company away from potential risk, as well as set up traceable archiving process for agreement management in North America.
Follow the JJENA Code of Ethics, abide by all relevant laws, regulations and company policies, and avoid any inappropriate behavior with suppliers, and support an open and fair environment.
Lead functional data management process and systemize (such as ERP/EDI/SRM) activities in NA, including supplier master file, supplier delivery performance, supplier cost comparison and supplier quality performance.
Update data regularly and report out timely, to support business decision and supplier relationship management.
Be responsible for Purchasing team build up in NA, especially for direct material purchasing team.
Set up functional KPI every year and figure out action plans required by the Corporate Team, review and adjust action plan on regularly basis to secure KPI realized.
Focus on employee career roadmap development constantly, cultivate and promote high-potential team members, also need to train and monitor poor performed employees, rotate out non-performed or low-value added employees as necessary.
Build up core competency of the team for global sourcing deployment.
