This is an exciting opportunity that will require hard work to help establish and maintain a world-class vehicle crash testing operation.
This position is on the front line of developing safe vehicles to reach zero traffic related fatalities.
This position will be responsible for vehicle safety crash testing for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles produced in the North American region.
This position includes running vehicle crash tests, planning tests, ensuring accurate test setup and efficient test execution to produce accurate and valid test results.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanics, Biomechanical, Electrical, etc.
) Strong data analysis, attention to detail, logical problem solving.
Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams Prior experience working in a test lab environmen Prior experience with vehicle crash safety testing and/or working directly with related equipment such as ATD calibration/data acquisition instrumentation is strongly preferred.
Experience with vehicle safety crashworthiness and knowledge of test procedure requirements (FMVSS, NCAP, IIHS, etc.
) is strongly preferred Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
Proficiency with Diadem, SpaceVision, NX-CAD a plus.
Domestic travel maybe required - up to 1 week per month Job Grade (Years of Experience) Engineer 1 or Engineer 2 Level 1 to 3 years automotive-related test engineering experience is preferred.
Recent college graduates with automotive testing experience from internships/co-ops will be considered.
