Buyer - International and Domestic

MDI is a leading signage and display manufacturer in the (POP) Point of Purchase and (TCP) Traffic Control Products industries.
We are looking for an experienced Buyer with international supplier development experience in Asia.
This position is located at our main office in Farmington Hills, MI.
This position is responsible for the development and growth of international and domestic sources for raw materials and finished goods.
Job duties include, but are not limited to; research multiple suppliers, prepare bid specifications, receive bids, determine minimal buy quantities, purchase commodities consistent with quality, price and delivery and follow up on orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
Qualifications Experience with international and domestic sourcing and the ability to establish reliable suppliers.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make effective business decisions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Solid analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, excelling in attention to detail.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Materials and Logistics Management or related field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
