Department Marketing Statement
Are you looking for a Cost Estimator position in the mold tooling industry? Due to a steady growth in new business, Roush is looking for a Cost Estimator who will be responsible for interrogating customer data for cost drivers and developing cost estimates of injection mold tooling for the automotive industry, including developing manufacturing concepts and molding feasibility. This position is located in Farmington, Michigan.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
Journeyperson Mold Maker, Mold Designer or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in injection mold tooling design.
2D/3D design experience
Experienced in developing cost estimates (quoting) for injection mold tooling. This must include processing new tool RFQs, and assessing product designs for tooling feasibility.
Full understanding of the mold manufacturing process, to include: demonstrated ability to estimate design, machining and manufacturing hours and material costs to produce an injection mold.
Must show demonstrated success in utilizing cost estimating models.
Must be able to develop internal RFQ's and manage the RFQ process with our supply chain department as a Cost Estimator.
Good computer skills and knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a cross-functional team.
Proven abilities in thinking outside of the box in developing processes and systems to drive efficiency and precision into the cost estimating process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience as a Tool Engineer or Cost Estimator.
Experience with Catia or Unigraphics
