com Exciting opportunity - located in Farmington Hills, MI to be a Pro Specialist in Residential Sales! Starting at $40,000 (based on experience) - PLUS quarterly incentive available! Position
Summary:
The Pro Specialist will be responsible for growing the existing contractor base as well recruiting new construction trades professionals.
This will require engaging customers through events both at the branch level and in the community.
The Pro Specialist will play a key role in advancing Virginia Tile's customer experience to industry professionals.
This position comes with the potential for further career development as well as satisfying professional challenges.
Essential Functions:
Engage and interact with existing building trades professionals to increase business.
Prospect and capture new customers to increase sales.
Work primarily with builders and contractors to increase sales of tile installation materials and tools.
Maintain and manage quotes for projects and eventually close projects.
Develop knowledge about tiles and installation with the ability to educate and sell customers on our products and services.
Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
Meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
Improve sales skills to increase sales success rates.
Oversee product and installation claims with Virginia Tile's local contractor base.
Occasional sales and events outside of the branch are a possibility.
Resolve basic service issues for a wide range of customers.
Create training courses to demonstrate to customers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Actively listen to customers to understand needs and present products that are consistent with customer needs and preferences Provide recommendations to meet space, style, and cost requirements Deliver exceptional customer service by exceeding customer expectations Maintain knowledge of competitors and their products Increase accounts through face-to-face meetings Plan and execute events to attract and retain clients Follow up with clients to close sale Minimum Qualifications High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills 2 years in building industry sales, customer service, installation, etc.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Great communication and people skills Travel 10-15% Support for customer events may require travel outside local area Travel to other/out of state Virginia Tile locations for internal meetings Manufacturer, Industry or Tradeshows for Continuing Education Potential travel to customer jobsites, showrooms, etc.
Schedule Full-time Minimum 40 hours/week Monday-Friday Evening/weekend hours as needed to support customer events.
